Wednesday, June 10 at 6:30 PM
Description: Did you know investment of AI in healthcare is growing by over 30% per year? There are simple, smart devices that can collect information continuously, conveniently, and objectively that improve clinical practice - we'll hear from a leading researcher that has utilized various wearable devices to improve clinical research for mobility disorders. Additionally, the advent and use of Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs) that can, for example, read radiology images and generate reports for clinicians will be discussed, including both how these systems will help clinical practice as well as how they work in general. This program takes place Wednesday, June 10 at 6:30 p.m. in the Library Multipurpose Room.
Bio: Dr. Albert is the Department Chair of Information Science and the University of North Texas and leads the Biomedical AI Lab.
